I am terrified that a mass shooting or a bomb will happen on our campus. I think about it every time I cross the crowded mall or sit in Stamp doing my work. Every time I see a school shooting spree on the news I think "It could happen here too."

I have to hold/force a smile when someone says they're from Jersey...

I have two and a half hours until my exam and I know literally none of the material. I'm not even all that concerned.

Lately I've been going to bed at the same time as my roomate, just so I can get enough sleep before she thunders around in the morning. I'll never understand inconsiderate people like this, because I'm the kind of person to tiptoe around when somebody else is sleeping. SLEEP IS SACRED.

This may sound nutty, but next year I want to run the Boston marathon for myself, but also to push someone that was affected yesterday in front of me that was injured and unable to finish. I can't imagine the devastation that they have endured; they trained for so long for such a milestone and then not only were unfairly unable to finish, but potentially permanently injured in the process. I want to help someone finish, even if they can't do it on their own.

I'm really glad that this group was created. This type of stuff does 1000x more in connecting people on campus (even if anonymously) than any lame/cliche efforts by the school.

I live really far off campus and I've felt extremely disconnected from everyone (to the point that I started disliking everyone I came across for no real reason) and everything on campus for all the time I've been here, until I found this and a few other UMD twitters.

It's good to confirm that we're all made of the same stuff, have the same thoughts, even if we may never admit them to each other.
