I think marriage should be abolished. The world is just too selfish and materialistic for something as absolute and binding as marriage to exist. People just don't take marriage seriously anymore. Marriage is supposed to be death do us part, and it is designed as such. It is supposed to be an integral part of your life, not a casual fling, that is why the penalty for breaking the contact of marriage is so high. But people have become accustomed to intermittent relationships and are treating marriage as such. Marriage is just too constricting for today's me-generation, and should be replaced with something where the stakes are lower. I wish it wasn't so but that's just how it is.

I fucking hate half the people in McKeldin. Turn off your shitty music, this isn't the third floor. I am trying to study, asshole. Stop walking around the whole damn place looking for a study carrel. It's a week and half away from finals, they are TAKEN. Close your damn mouth when you're chewing, I can't think.

For me personally, it's really awkward being a gay guy at Maryland. I'm not the random-party or going-to-gay-clubs/events type, so I wouldn't be meeting any guys there. There are tons of guys on campus who look cute, but I don't wanna just walk up to them and say it because what if they're straight (and I'd be making a huge fool of myself, not to mention how rude that would be)? On top of that, I'm a loving soul actually looking for a genuine relationship, someone I can share my personality and let loose with, not just the 'typical' (?) college hookup, and I'm starting to get the feeling that I won't find who I'm looking for here.

In high school, no one ever told me it would be this frustrating.
