I am studying for finals in my bathtub. I filled it with pillows and locked myself in the bathroom. The only place where I can get any goddamn peace anymore.

My biggest fear in high school was that I would be like my older sister's roommate, who had a mental breakdown after her first semester in school and ended up dropping out. Failure scares me more than anything I have ever encountered in my life. Now, facing the end of my sophomore year with more than a few anxiety attacks and a whole lot of sobbing under my belt, I have never been more terrified that my biggest fear is coming true. I want out, but I'm too afraid to tell anyone because I don't want them to see me as weak.
