I think about committing suicide almost on a daily basis. I feel so lonely all the time, and I don't see it changing. I have joined clubs ext. but still feel lonely and never meet anyone who likes me. I used to have plenty of friends. I just don’t know what happened we lost touch or something, and they don't seem interested in me anymore. Anyways, now I can't help but think there is no point in life. The only thing keeping me from killing myself is not wanting to hurt people. I know how much suicide hurts people and I don’t want to do that, while I don’t really think people would notice if I died, I would feel horrible if I hurt someone. I talk to people in class and have friendly conversations, no one ever asks me to hang out or seem to care about me. it's probably me I mean I don’t like myself so I can’t see why anyone would... when I do find someone I guess I am shocked and think there is something wrong with them because I just don't see it. actually, I can’t think of a single thing I like about myself. At least nothing significant, maybe superficial things like I dress well, or I am tallish but nothing meaningful. I am a nice person but that is such a B.s. quality no one cares. I am not looking for pity, or guidance. This is a pure confession… I am not asking for anything. well I guess I am asking people to reach out more to people, you would be surprised to know that incredibly skinny guy in your *blank* class is really nice once you get to know him. I am sure I am not the only person at UMD who feels this lonely there has to be someone out there. I am not saying this for guidance. Just saying sometimes you should reach out to people you never though you would be friends with because you never really know until you learn more about them. I mean everyone I meet is awesome... just wish they thought I was too.
sincerely,
supper skinny dude

I'd like to address something that bothers me to no end. As we all know, yesterday we had a huge victory over WVA. I was one of many Terps who went to see and support the game. It was fantastic (especially because I LOVE football). Anyways, what bothered me about yesterday was not the game itself, but on the way to the game. I was one of many people who took a shuttle from the Comcast center to the M&T Bank Stadium. On the particular shuttle I was on, the bus driver was not feeling well, for whatever reason. En route to Baltimore, she had to pull over because she almost threw up. She didn't at all on the journey, but she almost did. Unfortunately, where she had to pull over was very close to the exit onto the beltway. Due to the circumstance, she missed the exit and had to re-route and take Balt-Wash Pkwy to Baltimore. Now, honestly it is not a big deal to have to take a different route to the same destination; but, what is a big deal is the fact that some people act like children because of it. A couple of guys behind me were making very disrespectful comments (jokes and all) about the fact that we had to go a different way. Some of the comments consisted of: "What the fuck is she doing? She doesn't even know how to drive." "I should drive this bus." "Why didn't we take the damn beltway?" "She probably went ham last night and that's why she doesn't feel well. That or the stomach flu." "Great, there's fucking traffic. We're not going to get there in a half hour." "I want to shoot her in the face". Honestly, having to hear that set me on fire, because that's insanely rude, insanely disrespectful, and it only shows that these guys feel entitled. Clearly, the woman did not feel well; and I highly doubt she "went ham" the night before (she was an older black woman; not another college kid). I am not sure how these idiots thought she could just jump over four lanes to get onto the exit. And, she did her best to do her job even though she wasn't feeling well. She even made the effort to tell all of us what was going on over the intercom/radio box. I'm sorry, but I didn't know that having such an attitude and mindset like that was ok. Because it isn't. It's disgusting. We are adults, first of all. We are not children. And to behave like a bunch of 7 year olds is a shame. I honestly should have recorded everything and posted it to show people what a shame these guys are, but I didn't. We are not in college to act so arrogant and disrespectful. $20,000+ dollars is not spent on education to belittle someone just because we're not going to be "on-time" to the stadium (mind you, this bus left Comcast no later than 12:05pm). I'm sorry (not sorry) but being a Terp does not mean you're the big shot, no matter if you got a 100% on your damn Diff EQ exam (congratulations, asshole). Being a Terp doesn't mean you get to disrespect, order around, humiliate, or harass someone (anyone). Being a Terp doesn't mean you're justified to be a jerk. It's a shame so many other people would show much more grace, appreciation, and humility to have such an opportunity to go to such a great school as UMD. Some people demonstrate they are not deserving of being here, regardless of how well they do in their majors (as these idiots kept bragging about once we reached the city). Being a Terp means being a leader, a mature leader. Being a Terp means having humility and respect. Being a Terp means being a true representative of a good, ambitious, dedicated, respectful, HONORABLE person. I saw none of that yesterday. On top of that, because of where we arrived at the stadium, the traffic directors wouldn't permit the bus driver to let us out in front of the stadium. Instead, we had to travel down the street a bit (maybe a quarter mile at most, over a bridge). What I heard coming from other students was "Why are you not dropping us off here?!" "Where are you going?!" "Just drop us off here!" How old are we?! Mind you, these weren't freshmen being obnoxious. My goodness, it's so disappointing. OBVIOUSLY we cannot get off here! Call me "butthurt" but this is disappointing behavior coming from 19-20+ year old COLLEGE students. Not elementary school students. Not middle school students. Not high school students. Adult college students. C'mon, guys. This is not what our school is about. For shame to those students. You make the rest of us look like stuck-up, spoiled brats who have our parents pay our way through school. Anyways, rant over.
