You must do something with it first in order to deserve anything. Einstein didn't get the Nobel Prize for being "omg literally the smartest person alive"; some people would argue he wasn't even really that much of a genius, and in this day and age we are able to recognize some of the shortcomings and errors in his work. He got it due to dedicating a lifetime of tireless effort to his work; his breakthroughs are not something he dreamed up in his spare time while sitting on the toilet. Being a "genius" alone won't make you connections, won't make people like you, won't make you complete your work, won't stop you from failing out, and won't help you to avoid becoming an unknown, unemployed nobody.
