Easy, man. I know this is rough, but there is hope. It sounds like you're having some trouble redefining yourself outside of a relationship. Feel like you're missing your other half, like suddenly you're by yourself for no real reason, something you haven't felt in a long time.
I'm here to tell you, it's okay. You're probably going to go through a very long healing process. You're gonna blame yourself, you're gonna blame others, you're going to blame people/things that aren't even involved. That's okay. It's gonna feel like you're adrift in a ocean where there is nothing to grab onto that you can even consider "yourself." It's okay. Your focus right now will be on healing. Forgiving. Letting it all go. The more you practice this, the easier it gets. Forgive her, forgive yourself, forgive all the things/people you blamed. And that forgiveness is not tacit support for what has happened, it's allowing you to acknowledge what happened and let it go. She had her reasons for leaving and you have yours for being upset. Don't worry about whether any of those make any sense, just acknowledge they are there and move on. This does not happen overnight. It needs focus, time, and energy every day.
This is going to be a long road. It takes a while. You're going to want to talk about this with someone. Find some friends who would be willing to accept the vulnerability you're about to show them (maybe some of the more supportive strangers who offer such things on this page) or even just walk on down to the Counseling Center to talk to someone who is bound by law to not reveal what you've said and is trained to help you walk through this. Do this multiple times over the course of a few months. Eventually you will find something you truly believe is yourself and tentatively grab hold. This will be enough to put you on your feet and allow you stability to focus on change and making the effort to define who you are.
If at any point you find yourself considering ending your own life, call a friend immediately. Let them know or go spend some time with them. That is when you have reached a point where your thoughts are starting to destroy you. Then seek help. 301-314-HELP. It seems ridiculous, but it will save your life and keep from ruining the lives of those closest to you.
Good luck, my friend. This road will be long and difficult, learn the lessons well. I apologize for posting anonymously. There are too many details in this response that reveal much more about me than I want most people to know right now.
