I ran into this guy multiple times in a few different places and eventually got his number. I thought he was cute and texted a few times showing that I was somewhat interested. I ran into him again and we were casually flirting so I texted him the next day asking if he wanted to get lunch. He seemed relieved that I had asked and was definately up for it. The date went pretty well I thought. The conversation was engaging and we had a lot of common interest and things seemed to click. He was smiling a lot and kept the conversation going and even mentioned future dates with each other. Its been a couple days since the date and he hasn't texted me at all. I have vowed not to text him first since I have made the first move every time and I figure if he likes me (or atleast wants to get to know me better) he will talk to me. I'm afraid that he won't text me though cuz he expects me to make the move since I have every time and give him reassurance that the date went well (even though I directly told him that we should do it again sometime). Why would a guy show interest, but not follow through? Do guys actually still follow that one week rule? and if he doesn't text me within the week should I just forget about it?

#4054 And also in response to #4012, I don't understand how being gay is just who you are. How is it not a choice? How can it not be a choice???? Are you suggesting it's passed down genetically? If so, that makes no sense because, how could the 'gay' gene be passed genetically if gay people cannot produce offspring? I don't really understand how people just ARE gay? Is the mechanism for it similar to some kind of genetic disorder being passed down or something? I don't understand.

#4052 In response to post #4012, and I am just curious, not hating or trying to spread hate or anything, but when you get to the root of it, isn't homosexuality "bad" in terms of evolution? I mean, the poster is right, you can't pass on your genes. I know that people get into relationships for reasons other than children, but at the root of it, don't humans mate with one another to propagate genes to the next generation? This is all thinking in the most basic, animalistic sense. I'm sorry if this question offends a lot of people, but I was just curious.
