I especially get annoyed at the middle-aged ones who think they're soooo brilliant and shake their heads at the younger generations, yet can't even write a proper correspondence without making elementary spelling or grammar errors. If you're a native English speaker who comes from a native speaking household, you really have no excuse. Read a damn book. My parents are immigrants who speak English as a second language. I learned my written English nearly entirely from reading BOOKS as a kid. I didn't have anyone to correct my essays or ask for help on my grammar homework. It's never too late to pick up a book (None of that flimsy 'Twilight' or 'Fifty Shades of Grey' shit, either. A PROPER book.) and start not just improving your grammar but also start broadening your horizons from your own chair. You might even find your viewpoints changing on some things.
