I think that feeling like an empty shell of myself began when I was in my senior year of high school, however, things got much worse this year. I had seriously considered taking the semester off to try and work on my mental health but my parents did not agree to let me until the semester already began. Recently I had a mental break down and had to go home for a little while to be with my family and that was so extremely helpful. I don't know how long that help is going to last but it proved to me that my medication was correct and that it is possible to be happy. If there is something or somewhere that you might be able to do/go for a little while I definitely think that it is a helpful way to try and survive the semester at least.
