#5797 Today I have just found out that Zachary Lederer has passed away. We were in a few high school classes together and he was a terp. He was nice and talked to me while others did not because I was really awkward back then(still awkward). I followed his news and hoped that he would kick cancer's ass, but unfortunately... RIP Zachary Lederer, I am just too shy to say these on facebook status

#5796 You have no idea of the extent of irony of your statement. You are the one spouting off about the how irrelevant GPA is in being successful in Academia, ie. getting into grad school, you are the ones spouting off about what a prospective job seeker should do to be successful when you yourself are a virtual nobody in the professional world, god dammit most of your comments are an attempt to rebut others opinions' with your own. You saying that my opinions are just that of a college kid and thus immaterial, given how you yourself have acted, shows you are inconsistent at best, mentally touched at worst. As for marriage, I have not said marriage means love. First, I am pretty sure my definition of love is different from that of most millennial. I don't believe love is just a release of dopamine when you see the girl you like. Love means self-sacrifice, supporting your partner in the worst possible times, and suffering together if for nothing then to live this ideal of love. Tell me what about the millennials, who distrust eachother, who distrust patriotism, who are perhaps the most cynical generation to have ever existed, supports their belief in love. As I said marriage is a social construct that encourages self-sacrifice for your partner, and I only used this example as a contrast to the prevalent millennial beliefs. You know what forget about love, let me put things in terms you materialistic brats will understand. The United States population is rapidly aging because people have stopped having children. This poses massive challenges to the economy. Principal among these are a stagnant economy, a stagnant wage, and a ballooning debt. These aren't things I am pulling out of my ass. This is well documented and can easily be found in the web. The only reason the US economy is even growing is because immigrants with traditional family values are picking up the slack of the natives who don't believe in marriage or having children. Principle example is Japan. Its population is supposed to decrease by 50% is the coming century and it has been mired in an economic doldrum which it has never recovered from. Japan's suicide rates are one of the highest in the world, it is one of the most atheistic nations, fertility rate is one of the lowest, marriage rate one of the lowest, and it's economy is totally dependent on the United States with its growing population. But whatever right, who needs to worry about those things. Just to tie any loose corners I am not saying things were better a century ago when people were over-zealous about religion and marriage. But this as they stand right now show that we have gone to far to the opposite spectrum, at least the modern world that is.

#5794 The worst thing about a long distance relationship is when the one weekend you get to see them you have your period. Then you just end up having to give alot of head and masturbating a bunch until you see them again.

#5792 I got accepted to a living and learning program which requires me to live in campus dorms and I currently commute to UMD. I agreed to room with my friends but now I realize that living on campus will be too expensive for me. I have to make a decision soon but I am hesitant to decline since I committed to my friends that I will be living with them.

#5791 I admit it is hard to make friends as a transfer and an introvert. But most times I don't really mind the solitude. But there are times when I wish people could see me as more than just another person in their class. I wish I knew how to talk to people.
