#5983 It's funny how out of all the things people were saying about the 9/11 terrorists they can never call them cowards. I'm not condoning anything they did or saying that what they did was right... I agree with people that what they did was a terrible thing, but they were willing to die for their beliefs.

So many people who claim to believe in something so wholeheartedly would never put their life on the line for it. In this sense, what makes these terrorists so much different from our troops who die almost everyday in the Middle East? I mean, I'm sure in those countries when we kill their people those groups of infidels have their own type of "propaganda" that depicts our soldiers as monsters who will stop at nothing to destroy their way of life (and they're spot on in most respects).

I just hope people are looking at the problem from all perspectives.

#5981 Here's the truth. Your high School guidance consoler did not have your back. Their job was to send as many kids as possible to college. But college isn't for everyone. It's not even for every smart person. If you've had the aha moment in your first year and you know this is where you belong that's great. If not, then maybe you're in the wrong field, or maybe college just isn't for you. And that's ok. You are not a failure if you don't get a college degree. Just like you are not a failure if you are not a pro athlete. If it's not for you don't fall for the trap of thinking that there is something wrong with you. The trick is, to find out where your aptitudes are and figuring out the most satisfying way to turn them into a living. If that means making it through college, great. Good Luck! But if what you're good at doesn't need a degree, then don't torture yourself and put yourself in debt and set yourself up for a life of unhappiness because of this false notion that successful people go to college.

#5980 So this is kinda weird I suppose... but I really hate my birthday. Getting a bunch of generic 'happy birthday's or something along those lines from people I consider close that should have more original and genuine thoughts about being my friend... makes me feel like shit. I'm grateful that people want to say something in the first place... but when it's all the same, I just feel like people don't care about me the same way I would them... to take the time and at least say something with character. Or maybe I'm just asking too much. Birthdays are never that good for me in the first place. I'd just like to truly be seen on a less than artificial basis.

#5978 People who sing in public need to shut up. Some people control their singing well, and good for those people. But a lot of people do really annoying shit.

They sing over someone else. They're like HEY LISTEN TO THIS SONG, and then they sing along very loudly. Like hey, you told me to listen to the song, so why is the only thing I can hear your damn voice?

People who sing when someone else is performing also fucking suck. I heard someone sing along while an acapella group was performing. Shut the fuck up. They're performing. You can sing that sing any time. This is their time to shine and no one needs to hear you disrespect them by making unnecessary noise. And I'm sure the people around you are there to listen to them, not you sing.

And of course, people who sing in the "right situations" but can't keep their voices down. I don't need to fucking hear you at a 200 decibel level.

Have some damn respect.
