Hateful comments about other people's body types, their race, how they look. They make me feel disheartened. This campus should be an accepting place where people can be who they want to be without the fear of being judged on superficial things. We're all here for the same reason: to get a college education. Why can't we all just treat each other with respect? There's no reason to hate and discriminate against someone who is just like you. Posting hateful comments or bragging about the rude and discriminatory things you under the cover of anonymity is cowardly. Strive to be kind online and in real life. I guarantee it'll make you feel better as well as others. /rant

#6288 I don't understand the whole "I'm x so I can't be racist" argument. By definition, racism is explicit or implicit discrimination on the basis of another's race. If you are a human being you are capable of prejudice and stereotyping and being influenced by your peers and environment and you also did not decide what race you would be given from birth. THIS APPLIES TO EVERYONE. Why is this a difficult concept? Racism is a product of social learning and of choice. It is also a way of thinking. A person is not automatically exempt from being racist because they are not white. That's fucked up and entirely illogical. I do however believe there is no such thing as reverse racism. Why? BECAUSE RACISM IS RACISM. THAT IS ALL, GOODBYE.
