#6843 OP of #6797 (asking about identity terms in the LGBTQI community) here~ I just wanted to thank Harry for responding with the insight and information that he did, but still in a really gentle way~ I did want to clarify that if someone told me the preferred pronoun they wanted to be referred to by, I do understand that’s really not a light matter~ I was trying to express that I don’t feel that people should think that they have to do a detailed explanation of who they identify as or who they’re attracted to beyond the basic “Please call me __”, but maybe I wasn’t clear~ I think all this is just me being overly idealistic since in general, I don’t get why people as a whole would want to further divide themselves when others do it already.… Anyways, I did learn something from Harry and some of the other commenters, so thank you~

#6842 I'm having the hardest time reading this guy. We've been talking for over 6 months and it's never gotten past the basic cheesy middle school flirting. We've hung out a couple times and it goes really well and it's fun but he never tries to make any type of move, but he's always the one who asks to come over and chill. When he leaves he never even tries to go for the hug, and when we're sitting next to each other he never tries to get any closer or infer that he's even about that. We get along so well and I could see myself with him but I'm just not sure if he is just shy or isn't actually interested at all. Every time I try to work up the courage to just ask him about it I get too scared because I'd rather be in this grey area than to scare him off talking about being more serious.

#6841 Today was an awesome day. Everything was going great, and I get on the bus on my way back to my apartment. I overhead some guys talking pretty loudly about a girl who cried rape when she got drunk and went with three guys ("why wasn't she with her friends"?"). They kept saying how she shouldn't have done this or that, but that really LETS BE REAL, she knew what she was getting into. Yeah.... The most ignorant and depressing thing I've ever actually witnessed someone say. I have never heard such an awful real-life example of what kind of shitty people there are in this world, and you two, my fellow humans, are some shitty people indeed.
