#8197 I wish I could stop feeling like I'm more into you than you are to me.

#8196 After not taking much advantage of Eppley this past year, I told myself I would go to the gym every day this summer ... sadly that has yet to happen!

#8195 I honestly find Owl City to be absolutely beautiful, poetic, and even emotionally moving, with all the emotions. Most of his songs carry meaning, but he almost never gives you anything upfront. It often takes time, and eventually you snap and figure it out. However, I'm embarrassed to tell people that he he's my favourite artist. I'm not ashamed of it, but a lot of people seem to have this mentality about Owl City, like it's childish or gibberish. I'm afraid to be judged.
Also, I don't do drugs.

#8194 When I was 14, I had this huge crush on a girl I knew from 8th grade. We talked every day, I made her laugh, helped her with her problems, and we hung out fairly often. One day, I finally got the stones to ask her out. Lo and behold, I got rejected. It sucked some serious shit. A couple weeks later I learned that she was crushing on a guy who treated her almost the opposite of the way I did. He was flippant towards her problems, he had low intelligence, and he generally made no effort. So naturally, being a stupid teenager, I assumed that "women only go for douche bags."
In my time growing up and becoming an adult, I realized that this was bunk. Women don't only go for douche bags. THAT woman only went for douche bags. It was HER thing, and not the way of every attractive woman out there. Sure, some women follow suit, but it's certainly not everyone. I daresay most women prefer a guy that doesn't act like a shithead.
I'm now in a steady relationship with an amazing young woman who chose to date me because of my personality and interests as well as the way I looked and carried myself. What's become clear to me is that we generalize too much. Both men and women run to websites or self-help books to find out "how to make him/her like me" or "three tricks to make any girl obsess over you." Hell, women often generalize about their own freaking gender when discussing what they want in a guy. It's asinine, and I was part of the problem for awhile.
And just another note: to all of you fellas who still think most chicks dig the "douche bag," keep in mind that you have no idea how that guy treats his girlfriend. Anyone who thinks the "dumb jock" type can't be a caring and sensitive boyfriend has seen a few too many romantic comedies.

#8191 I am somewhat irritated at the fact that I am still single after finishing my freshman year of college. It really annoys me how nowadays girls/guys are always swiping left and right on Tinder instead of trying to meet people in person.

#8190 I am annoyed about a bunch of things right now and I feel like sharing!
1. I am curious which people on this page have summer jobs and what they are doing for work? I know that I feel jealous and maybe even resentful which makes me angry because as sad as it is, I am used to checking social networks religiously but now that I am busy all day long I don't have time to. I haven't scrolled though twitter or Instagram in weeks and it's not quite a compulsion anymore but it's still frustrating to see people just answering everything the second it gets posted at all hours of the day. Does no one sleep? I'm honestly curious bc I just don't get it. It's a weird thing to be mad about I know hahaha. It's just bc I want to be completely free and have time to do what everyone else is doing.
2. I don't like it being so hot and I am not looking forward to it being truly summer and really warm everyday. I need to move somewhere cold or at least to a place where I'm not constantly sweating all day long -_-
3. I have to take 2 classes this summer bc I screwed up in school and have to make up credits. One is a bio class and I am dreading it. At least it's at a commuter college that will hopefully make it a bit easier. Who knows :/
4. I don't get good grades and I am sick of people saying how well they do. It's hard for me to be proud of people if they consistently do well bc I feel like it's not as special if that makes sense. In my case, I am sooo happy when I get a goodf grade bc I'm not used to it, and I want to share it with others, especially if it was something I was really nervous about.
5. If I see one more post talking about how STEM majors are better than anyone else and are going to be rich and get jobs right after graduation I am going to fucking lose it. Like you guys are insanely annoying and need to shut the fuck up. I've had enough of it. No one cares how hard your major is whatever that means, or how many hours you spend torturing yourselves but thinking oh it'll all be okay in the end. No one ever said you will definitely get a job after you graduate. You are not more important so stop talking! No one wants to hear it. Find another way to rationalize your pathetic misery as opposed to being outright negative about everyone else bc you think you're better than them.
