#8373 I'm a girl, and I'm tired of my facebook/everywhere I go on the internet being spammed with articles about how hard it is to be a woman in America. It's like every little thing poses a problem for some people and they can't go a day without writing a long thing about how hard it is just to get by. I realize everyone's experience is different and some people have it much harder than I do, but that's just the point. Everyone's experience is different, and I'm tired of this "yes, all women!" crap. It's not all women. I've personally never felt sexually victimized by our culture as a whole and while I'm sure some people have, I wish they'd to apply it to every single woman, and stop saying that every part of the day, even a visit to the dentist or w/e, is some kind of noble struggle against sexism. For a lot of women, it's just not. My life is honestly not that hard and I don't want to claim this victim status. So many of us are so unbelievably lucky and privileged. We can participate in the slut walk and discuss how we're sexually objectified and should be able to express ourselves however we please without consequences and let's face it, almost everyone around takes our side and cheers us on. I realize there are some parts of the country and the world that don't, but being a college-educated woman in Maryland is one of the highest positions of privilege I can think of. I know I'm going to catch a lot of heat for this, but I had to say it.

#8372 I am an engineering ECE major senior and I got grade "D" in one of my technical electives this semester. Its not a prereq for any other course. Will I need at least C- in every course to graduate? Il ask my advisor only once I know what to expect. Tell me ASAP!

#8371 ok this is the fourth confession I've ever written, here we go: half of everything I've ever done since graduating high school was to find a decent date to go to Prom with (or a very classy formal) and have a unforgettable night. I'm 22 now, and so far I've failed miserably. I know my standards are pretty high, and I have every reason to uphold them given my qualities and accomplishments, I just want to replace my memories of going to high school senior prom alone with someone I really care about.

#8369 I'm taking summer classes, but am extremely unmotivated because I would rather be off adventuring all summer with my dream man. I haven't met him in person yet and he keeps canceling at the last minute every time we're both free to meet. I really like his personality and we have a lot of things in common, so I don't care if he doesn't look exactly like he says or something. We are far from eachother now, but when we're close by, he cancels. So here I am... disappointed & confused. I've tried asking why, but he always gives some bullshit reason/maybe real reason? I have these really cool blue Christmas lights around my room that give the room a nice vibe. I use this as an excuse to keep the lights on when my friends are here and we are about to go to sleep. I'll always be a little kid at heart.
