#8583 Haven't we all been there before? There's always that one remarkable person in our life that drives us crazy. Here's my monologue about my person:
I wanted to be with you so badly throughout our time at UMD. But because of the games you played with me (plus timing and other factors), saying no to you one month ago was easy. It doesn't make it any more pleasant though. I still think about you a lot. It's a shame that we never gave each other a fair chance. Then again, it's not my fault it had to be this way, it was YOURS. You being selfish, careless, and downright annoying at times. And then right as I found someone nice, you decided to come back into my life and tell me you want me. Even now, that I'm completely single, I thought this was over. I thought I finally moved on from you, yet I still want you to this day. You inspire me, you make me laugh, and you made me feel desirable even when I behaved at my worst. I love you. So do me favor and stop being a douche, so when you meet someone new, none of this painful nonsense happens again, ok? No more mind games.
But I'm sure that when you meet her, she'll be bright, beautiful and worth holding onto. (Like me, you know.)

#8580 Re: gender and pronouns. While I won't go as far as OP of
#8542, I get where the frustration is coming from. I will call you whatever pronoun you prefer. In fact if you would like to be referred to as "cake", I will call you just that. But you have to let me know in advance. Otherwise I might not be able to tell. I'm not curious enough to ask about everybody's gender identity and I will make assumptions. If you do not let me know in advance and get mad when I used the "wrong" pronoun, I won't take that BS.

#8579 The worst feeling in the world is when your significant other won't communicate with you about something being wrong, even when you know something isn't right. I joined this relationship hoping that you'd share everything with me, good or bad. That doesn't happen though, and it just kills me

#8578 I kind of hate it when people with penises "identify" as girls and vice versa. As a woman, I'm a little insulted that you generalize the feminine experience and decide that it's a label you can slap on. So what if you wear dresses and cry when you watch romcoms? That doesn't make you a woman, it just means that you have personality quirks that happen to fit inside society's stereotypes about women. If you want to wear a dress or use a female name I honestly don't mind, but those actions alone do not make you a woman. They just make you a dude who wears a dress and has a female name. If a white guy started "identifying" as a black guy and copying all the stereotypes, it wouldn't make him a black guy. If you're a guy who gets a sex change operation, sure, technically you're female now, but it's not the same, any more than those asians who get eye surgery to make their eyes bigger are any less asian now.
