#8621 Honestly, the lack of non-white protagonist in video games is appalling. As someone who's been an avid gamer for the better part of the decade, I honestly can't recall many protagonists who aren't white (especially white-males), and I can't even recall a single black protagonist. And don't even try to give me Franklin or CJ from the GTA series. They're just stereotypes. I'm talking about legitimates characters with real personalities. I could even think of a single one earlier, so I looked it up. The only two worth mentioning that are even playable are Lee Everett from the Walking Dead video game (who's admittedly a pretty damn deep character, but he's a convicted killer so there's that) and the black guy from Final Fantasy 7. The only currently relevant non-white protagonist I can even think of is the girl from Mirror's Edge. At least even Tomb Raider is at least a woman. All I want in life is just to see the status quo broken. I want more diversity from everything so that no one feels left out and out of place. Ugh. Thanks for reading.

#8620 I don't get the people who are so militant about accepting people for some things they can't change or shouldn't have to change - specifically their sexual orientation, race, gender, body hair, etc - but gleefully mock people for other things they can't change. I'm thinking specifically of a poster here who posted something about how women shouldn't be judged for having hairy legs but then made two jokes about guys with small dicks. In the same day. I don't even have a tiny doowang and I still think this is fucking stupid. I mean I make fun of pretty much everything so I don't care, but have a little consistency yeah? If it's okay to mock people for who they are in good humor, do it. If it isn't, don't. Don't give me this weak, two faced bullshit. Step up ya assditch.

"good" - and that's it. i appreciate that he's getting in touch with me...but is there any desire to get to know me? because i've certainly expressed a desire to get to know him! should i communicate with him about this, or just give up and find someone else who's more on the same page about this as me?
