#8693 On the same topic as
#8653, about guy stalking girl and restraining order... I was recently on the other end of a restraining order for stalking and harassing. I believe I was wrongly accused, and I'm just looking for people's opinion on my situation since it made me really depressed to think that the reality--me being perceived as a stalker--conflicted with my own perception of myself. This girl had said the same things, that she never tried to lead me on and she was never interested in dating. She lied in court saying I have been harassing and stalking her for the past 6 months. But just in those past 6 months, we've went out to many dinners and movies, had long phone conversations, and even took a lakeside stroll together. There were thousands of text messages between us that filled up over 230 pages that my lawyer had printed out, and that was as thick as an encyclopedia. Even before 6 months, we had "gone out" on many occasions, went to the county fair, hung out in the woods in her hammock, and she had even introduced me to her mom over dinner. We worked in the same place and she used that as "evidence" that I showed up to her work place. Because of this, all of our mutual friends and coworkers abandoned me, and some even testified against me. I was suspended and later forced to resign, and obviously I didn't do very well with my semester. She said I had misinterpreted all the times we hung out. I did try to argue over text how she led me on, and she used that in court as how "I had taken every moment we hung out as signs that she must've liked me." I have been so conflicted and depressed, and I wondered if I was so disillusioned that I really had misinterpreted everything. Did I really deserve this? This has undoubtedly ruined my reputation, and my lawyer explained to me that I can't sue her for defamation and win unless there are monetary damages or if I was denied of a future job/position as a result of this court record. I just feel like, as the guy, it's a lose-lose situation and you just can't win.
And to those of my ex "friends" who will recognize this confession, go fuck yourselves
