#27317 To the confessor of #27310. I agree with your points. But I can surely tell that there is a possibility things might never change. Four dreadful years of my life were at Purdue where I did not make one friend. I am a super social guy, smart at school, fluent in English etc. But I didn't have one single friend. That experience has left irrevocable damage on my personality, it made me hate myself. Do you know what it's like to be that kid who stays in the dorm room on a weekend, because he has no friends hence no plans. I was the kid who ate always alone, never had anyone to click pictures with, no thanksgiving plans, no Xmas plans. Trust me this experience can break you and I won't let anyone tell me I did not try. I tried my ass off but it didn't work. I'm still very sad about it. Guess God wasn't kind to Kevin this perspective. Loneliness can kill your self esteem.

#27316 You ever notice when people are talking about colleges, majors, possible careers after school, etc. Its always bad. Ive found that its usually moms who are the most negative. For example if your in a group of moms one mom will always act like she knows someone in every one of the majors your talking about and it almost always ends up being a negative experience for the person she supposedly knows went through it, usually a work friends son or daughter. Same with picking a college. A mom will be like, well my friend at works son goes there and majored in that and he hated the school and the major so he transferred to University X. Then the issue of money comes up. The mom will be like he or she could have went to University X and majored In that and saved 20 grand a year but now he or she is broke and still living at home. No mom is ever like, good choice, you can get through that program. It just ticks me off. Dads are usually like major in whatever you think you can graduate from, ha. Dads have a much more positive view of college, majors, etc.
