People who listen to metal are a different breed of people. more than enjoying the music they listen to, they're more concerned with how epic they think it makes them look and casting some cliquish alliance to arbitrary sub-sub-sub genres (between which, there are zero real theoretic musical differences). and almost all of them describe the differences in ways that dont actually make sense: bro, i only listen to the heaviest breakdowns. really, how diverse can open-string guitar string chugs be? and why cant the genres be any more descriptive? hardcore, grindcore, metalcore, gore metal, death metal, dark metal, black metal, progressive, industrial, thrash. all obviously in sole pursuit of the ultimate badass image. im just not even going to start on the screaming. you may now continue on with your day...

So I was at Maloneys last night, and I saw this guy looking sharp and wearing a bow-tie. And there was girls making of fun of him for some reason and I just that was mean.
