I've struggled with depression, and still struggle with it, but feel like it's something I have to hide. It's exhausting pretending like you've got it all together when you're feeling so sad inside.

Let me first begin by saying I don't mean this to offend anyone or be hurtful, this is just an issue I'm curious about and I always hear one-sided opinions that drown out everything else. I'm sorry up front to the people who are inevitably going to get angry about this.

So, I always hear and read about people, especially girls, talking about how being overweight isn't an issue and that it's just the way people are. I understand that some people have more trouble losing weight than others, but that doesn't mean it's not an issue. Obesity is one of the leading causes I death and illness is the U.S. but yet people are always defending overweight people and saying they are healthy. I see people in the gym working their butts off (literally) to get in shape and they have seen great health improvements. I'm not saying everyone needs to have a six pack or a "thigh-gap", but I am saying being fat is not healthy. Gluttony is the one sin that is never addressed and I think that is wrong.
Ok, you can crucify me now.
