As a Sociology student, I feel like there is an intolerance for people like myself who interpret scripture in a more conservative fashion in my department and even in SPIL. It is quite clear that most of these people are progressive and there is nothing wrong with this but these people are often unwilling to be tolerent of others with beliefs different than their own. This is not right. I should not feel the need to post anonomously on this site to express my feelings. And yet here I am. I only ask that people on both sides of the spectrum be accepted for their beliefs
