I tried my best to follow your reasoning, and it seems like the point was that if we can change our "heart," then our actions will follow, and the condition of our heart is a reflection of what we love and desire. The difficult part is, how do you change your loves and desires? It is relatively easy to pervert them, to become attached to unhealthy things. It is so much harder to make the desire for the intended, healthy version to become stronger, even though that desire is always there in some way.

Think about this. We do what we want. It's that simple. If you desire two conflicting things, 100% of the time you will choose the one you want more. So the battle becomes finding ways to change the balance. I hope that, as Jamie said, we can bond together as a community over things like this. You are not alone.

Hello,I am a first year volunteer with SWITCH, but I am in the sneocd year of my program. I was hoping to do one shift on the Outreach team before volunteering on the clinical team. However, I am having troubles finding shifts open for the Outreach team. Am I allowed to sign up for the clinical team as a first shift or do I have to volunteer with the Outreach team first?
