I feel as if my boyfriend's ex-girlfriend has turned a lot of people against me. I know they had a bad break up but it was a long time ago, and I've been with him for a substantial amount of time now (plus I've been with him longer than she was). He is a great guy and has treated me better than anyone ever has. I cannot see why she would let him go. Other than the fact that she hurt someone I love very much, I don't have anything against her so I don't know why this middle school charade continues. I would very much like to be able to walk through campus without getting stares from people I've never talked to before or have met briefly. I have always adopted the attitude to never hate anyone, and I am always pleasant when I see her (even smiled a few times). I just really don't understand. Am I supposed to be ashamed for being the "second choice" because I will never be ashamed for who I love. To all those people that think I'm a horrible person or whatever has been spread I am simply asking that you meet me before you judge me. I'm sure you are all nice people. And to the ex-girlfriend, I'm sure you are a nice person too even though what you did to him was...not so nice. I promise to be polite towards you regardless of what you do towards me. All people deserve kindness. If you could at least not snarl at me or my boyfriend that would be much appreciated. Can we be adults please? I don't know how to help the situation. I haven't dealt with anything like this before.

Sometimes I really wish there was a way to lock out your roommate from the room. Mine has just been a real bitch lately, and I just want some peace!

So about all of these posts about fat people. The overwhelming answer on this page to someone saying that you need to lose weight is "I don't need to be stick skinny to be healthy." I'll admit, that is true, it is not healthy to be stick skinny either, but that isn't what people are saying. The people who say that fat people need to lose weight are saying this because IT IS NOT HEALTHY TO BE OBESE. They aren't saying that you have to be stick skinny just that you shouldn't be obese either. You always have the choice to better your health as well as your life. Last time I checked there are no health benefits to being obese. We all get it that you are either genetically predisposed to being overweight, or that you have no regard for your health whatsoever. Whichever one of these excuses you are making for you being overweight you always have the choice to lose weight. And if your idea of "staying active" in order to lose weight is walking to and from classes, sorry to tell you that isn't going to make you lose very much weight. So stop making excuses as to why you are obese and go out and better your life. Since this wasn't really a confession, here is my confession. I am sick of hearing about how people "can't help that they are overweight." Bull shit and good luck getting anywhere in life with that kind of attitude.

I am a hero today. Sutherland's cutest little "mascot" Juke got off his leash today and was running away from the hall director. So yeah, I was the one who caught him and saved the day.

I get so frustrated that people think it okay to overweight. I'm not saying that everybody needs to be stick skinny and I am fully aware that genetics plays a significant role and some people simply have a larger bone structure than others, but just be healthy. I find it appalling that our media portrays being unhealthy as acceptable. All this does is allow people to think they have no responsibility to take care of themselves. I am not 100% satisfied with my body structure and never really have been, but I am well within the normal weight limits for my height and I take great care to eat right and exercise. Being healthy is beautiful, not being overweight.
