You know what might not hurt? Actually attempting to strike up a conversation with the quiet and shy types. I have to say that I figured I would be friendly one day and start talking to this person in one of my classes who didn't seem like they were the social type. The resulting conversation was one of the best I've had with someone on a topic in a long time. Totally changed my opinion on that person in a great way after having it. I guess what I'm trying to get at with this is don't judge someone before you know their story. We all come from different walks of life and have different ways of doing our own thing. Don't miss out on a great opportunity to make a friend simply because you didn't take the time to get to know someone before making assumptions.
