Dear people at the end of the hall in Murray 3S, SHUT UP! You always talk super loud, and no one wants to hear your shitty singing. Sincerely, rest of the wing

Joe F. who lives in Horan (I think), I really wish I had the courage to get to know you better. The problem is that I don't know if you play for my team. Anyway, you're really nice and funny and I would still enjoy just being friends!

My "friends" are assholes. I can't wait until I move off campus and never have to see them again. I keep telling myself only a few more months! Just a few more months.

2 years ago I found out my mother had cheated on my father with some German opera singer guy. We've all moved past it but sometimes when I'm bored I like to imagine setting his car/flesh on fire while waving an American flag and yelling, "biiiiiiitch" at him. Who needs therapy?

For those of you who keep complaining about the conditions of the sidewalks and roads, I just need to say a few things. I work at Facilities Management, so I know about what is going on right now.
1) Yes, there is ice everywhere. It is cold out. This is winter in Wisconsin, as well as everywhere else in the country. Since it has been much colder in more parts of the nation, demand for deicers has gone up tremendously. We are not the only ones who use the stuff. There are other places that have rarely ever had to use deicers before because they rarely experience cold weather. The supply is short. Therefore, demand > supply. If you took social studies any time before coming to college, you will know this can be a bad thing. With that being said,
2) Purchase footwear that can withstand icy sidewalks. Girls, your Uggs are even more useless in this weather. Sorel makes wonderful boots for this sort of thing that still look good and will last you years. YEARS. I highly suggest investing your money (or your parents' money) in those. Also, for the love of whatever deity you worship, WATCH WHERE YOU'RE WALKING. It's not rocket science.
3) If you live off-campus and your landlords haven't gotten around to taken care of your own sidewalks, do it yourself. If you can't find any bags of ice, kitty litter works just as well. It's much more readily available and much cheaper. If you live on-campus, help each other out. You can still buy some de-icer or kitty litter to help with the sidewalks and parking lots. It's not "normal," but something is better than nothing.
4)Also consider how early our maintenance people have to get up to take care of what they can before all the students wake up and start moving around. Do you know how hard it is to put salt or dirt on sidewalks when there are people constantly walking on it?
5) It will warm up soon. Just calm down, stop complaining, and get on with your lives.
