I'm pretty sure it's just plain and simple roommate etiquette to not blast your music/videos or talk on the phone while the other is trying to sleep or doing homework. Be polite, use headphones, etc. Is it really that hard?

I'm trying to quit my job, but it's like they won't let me leave...I explained to them that I just can't do it at the moment, because of schoolwork.Which I guess isn't a big enough concern of theirs, but I have some anxiety issues, and this is not helping. and all they said was "it's already 5 weeks in the school year, only 10 weeks left."
