Watched a few episodes of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell because not only is every hipster I know raving about it, but legit anthro professors recommend it too. At the risk of sounding racist (since any time I see someone express even the slightest bit of apathy towards the show they are branded as such), I have to say that it's not at all funny even though I like the guy. I get that these are legitimate topics, and their point of view matters, but when will they start writing funny jokes? I like plenty of non white comics (Greg Giraldo, Richard Pryor, Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock are in my top ten of all time.) I usually like jokes about race and social issues. But is it just me or is the humor in this show kind of whiny and boring? Seems like this new scene of activist comedians (the most popular of which being Kamau Bell and Hari Kondabolu) write rants and complaints instead of jokes. What am I missing?

There's a student in my comm design class who has GOT to be a sex offender, pedophile, or something. The whole class is pretty much in agreement here. He looks like Steve Buscemi and is just very perverted and creepy and makes us all dread going to class. The problem is, he's the most talented person there by far, lol. It makes us all very uncomfortable and even the professor finds it awkward and hesitates to acknowledge his existence. Don't know what to do.

True or false: Being white in the USA and coming from a background of privilege automatically makes you racist on some level (a bit more than what is implied by the phrase "everyone is a little bit racist") because you have benefited grossly from the institutionalized system of white supremacy.

So here's the deal I essentially have a 3 bedroom with one of my best friends and another friend. We haven't resigned and have yet to figure out where we'll live next semester. My best friend for understandable reasons wants to get a one bedroom. That just leaves me and my other friend. Don't get me wrong he's cool and everything but I can't live with him in a two bedroom. The worse part is I don't know who else I can get a two bedroom with. The struggle..I don't know what to do

I'm the same guy that posted way back about liking to jam out to Les Miserables soundtrack when my roommates are gone. In addition to Les Miserables I also (low key) like the Music in RENT, my favorite being La vie boheme, plus the movie is great with several themes to explore. Of course this usually stays under wraps and again I'll reiterate I'm straight lol. Breaking stereotypes FTW!

I like Texas, but I really want to live in California one day. I know people from that state come here because the economy sucks and the taxes eat you alive, but I can't get enough of that state. Anyone else agree?

Once I packed up and got in my car to leave Bruce and head home, I started cackling madly and uncontrollably. It's as if all the induced insanity that was caused by living in that dorm just disappeared like a curse being lifted. I honestly haven't felt a happier feeling in awhile.
