What are some things a person that has a hard time making friends can do to find friends around here?

I feel lonely. I don't really have friends, and I'm not close to my mother. I look at other people and wonder why cant I have what they have. I would give anything to be genuinely shown love.

My friends think I dropped out this spring semester, but what they don't know is that I was an anonymous bone marrow donor. I got an I for all my classes and I plan on acing everything over the summer, feels good to give back and be back!

Hey I would like to start with a question, do y'all think I should study something I love? Or something that will give me a job?
I ask this because my farther wants me to study to accountant, but I really want to be an animator or a comic book artist. I love drawing but I have never taken any art classes past elementary school, and I have never done animation before. I would love to learn them but my dad wants me to have a real job first before I can do whatever I want to do. So basically my confession is that I may be doing something I don't like for a very long time just so I can pay my tuition and have a good living. And I end this by asking what should I do.
