It must suck for the anti-smokers out there because no matter how much you bitch about the fact there's a 'smoking ban' (lmao) on campus, in reality there's absolutely nothing you or anyone can do about people smoking on campus.

The UNT Rec is gradually starting to annoy me more and more as I grow and get closer to graduating... hence, adult life. It's just seeming like a play/wannabe gym than anything else. Yes, I lift. Yes, I'm a girl. Yes, I sometimes spend two hours working out if I've got time to kill or if I've just had a terrible day and I need to get my pumps to feel better. Leave me alone about it. I'm not some unusual case. Go to a real gym and see how right I am. At real gyms, people understand that people like to be left the hell alone. Hitting on people goes on everywhere, but this isn't what I'm complaining about. I'm complaining about people who are supposed to be professional who keep calling attention to me because I'm not what they expect. I'm a kinesiology major (working on my personal training cert), as I'm sure many of the staff are at the rec... or I would hope. I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't the case, though. I'm pretty sure the place is run by a bunch of frat douches, and if not, then please stop acting like it. I am very aware of how much the cardio equipment is abused by women and that you are surprised I am not that uninformed about how to stay in shape and retain muscle. I realize it's impossible for women to get like female hulk without performance enhancing drugs. So no, I'm not training for anything, just life. Is that so weird? I freaking hate how over crowded the place is... and by so many douches!

Not to mention, being told by staff that I can't bring my water bottle in is just ridiculous. The water fountains have freaking water bottle dispensers!! What the hell are those for?? Do you know how much time is wasted going to the fountain after every set? Probably not... You don't even lift, girl. You have no idea what pre-workout is. You would prefer I chug it before coming in... so you would prefer vomit on your floors? I mean come on, what are we, in pre-school? You're afraid we will spill our drinks?

The ONLY cool thing about the rec is the convenience of working out in between class. This is the only reason I go, considering I have a job at a real gym. The difference is night and day. I can't believe the UNT Rec turns informed people down for jobs and hires the people they do.

Not all of the staff are bad, though. Not saying that, so don't jump on me about it.

I kind of want to go to a real sextoy store sometime, but I don't know where one is. I've tried online, but I can't check the texture beforehand so it's kinda iffy... any advice?

We have got to quit referring to Valerie as the "girl in the 'fuck me' shorts" Men are taught not to objectify women at all so if you want to be respected as a gentleman, refer to her as Valerie.
And yes, I do believe men are responsible for referring to her as such.

just for the record. wearing "fuck me" shorts definitely opens up the right of the public to refer to you by said shorts. shouldn't have worn the shorts around a COLLEGE CAMPUS if you didn't want to be known as the 'girl in the fuck me shorts.'
