It's very unbecoming, especially on a girl whose once pretty looks are waning by the second, sense of worldliness is defined by daddy and mommy's ability to give her frequent flier miles, and confidence is measured by the "love" of a man who likens her to a male Sesame Street character and often entertains the thought of other girls with whom he'd actually want to build a future.

I'm usually very cautious about who I trust and let into life, so it takes a lot for me to open up to someone. I feel hurt and betrayed that the person who I've known since freshman year and considered to be a best friend just stopped talking to me after they graduated. We've been through so much shit and good times, yet they couldn't even at least say "bye" to me after they graduated. I needed them the most during that time too since everything in my life was going downhill and I was slowly stepping back into depression again. Yet, they never answered a call/text/or Facebook message. It's making me be even more cautious about who I even consider to be a friend, let alone best friend. It just hurts getting tossed aside by someone who I cared for so much and shared my inner most demons with.
