To the person who posted about Greeks orgs that specialize in a certain race being racist, have you tried to join one of them and been rejected for looking different?
This is what's wrong about the majority of non-greeks affiliated students, many of you just go on stereotypes and don't take the time to verify or inquire about what you heard

My parents are fairly well off, and they are currently paying for my education at UMD. However, I just recently got a part time job and I want to prove to myself that I would be ok if they couldn't pay for me. I think that parents should do their best to help pay for their children's education but at the same time students shouldn't waste their time at college just partying. Since my parents are paying for my education I feel obligated to pay them back by getting a good job when I get out of college. I came to UMD to get a degree so that I can one day help out my parents with the bills when they retire.

I've seen more Jewish people around campus today than I have seen in my entire life before college. No hate at all, I'm just saying I didn't know the Jewish population was so broad.
