#4211 I'm on the E-board for a major group on campus, I've done research with one of the most notable and accomplished professors in my department, and I've received numerous awards, so people think I'm "on my grind", but my GPA is actually barely above a 2.5 LOL.

#4209 I'm a senior and I've maintained above a 3.0 my whole time at maryland but I still feel really inadequate. My cumulative GPA is a 3.15, I'm a psychology major so its not like I'm a business or Engineering major. I've never made dean's list or anything great accomplishment like that. I'll admit, I've had a lot of fun in college, made a lot of amazing friends, going out on thirsty thursdays and happy hours when maybe I should've stayed in. I guess looking back I could've spent more time studying or going to the library. I don't know I mean my GPA isn't awful but I wish it was better and I am a bit disappointed in myself. Do career jobs care a lot about GPA? Anyone else feel the same way or have any advice?

#4206 I came from a war-torn country.I was conscripted while still a youth to participate in a war that pit father against son, mother against daughter, brother against brother. I saw my best friend be torn apart by mines.We had to stuff his entrails back into his stomach with our bear hands in a futile attempt to save him. For 4 agonizing days he went through the stages of necrosis while still in full control of his 5 senses. His stomach ballooned to twice its original size, maggots started digging out of festering sores, he adopted a yellowish complexion as his endocrine system went completely septic. But we still couldn't bring ourselves to end his agony and so on the 4th day his body finally quit while he alternated between howls of pain and psychosis induced laughter. One would think, that through such horror, my will to live would have ended. But I was totally apathetic. Life had no meaning but death seemed like an inconvenience, something that I would have to face inevitably but it did not hold the same horror that it does for normal people. Horror was a way of life...the fact that it wasn't physically felt did not mitigate its effects on my psyche. So be glad that all you have to worry is your shitty girlfriend dumping you, grow some balls bitch.
