#4660 i'm curious: why do people actually buy their books weeks before the start of classes? wouldn't it make sense to wait until the first day of classes to see if you actually like/plan to keep the course before buying? (i know if there's that only one class offered that you HAVE to take for your major/to graduate, then it would make sense to buy your books weeks in advance.. but i'm mainly talking why people buy books for gen-ed type classes, since there may be a possibility of them dropping out?)

#4658 Want a real confession ? I HATE the university, I have since freshmen year after my friend passed away. The university could not give two shits. Apparently the athletes get all of the resources but students who are struggling get turned a blind eye. Why didn't I leave, you ask yourself as you read this? Because at the point where I could not take it anymore I was a junior it would be wasteful to leave. And as I sit hear dreading to go back for the next semester and be surrounded by my so called "peers" all with careers, graduate school, med school and more importantly futures a head of them I have to worry about just getting by.
