#5611 The stupidity astounds me I think this country's emphasis on STEM I feel has made college students are lacking in social awareness and analysis. I love both math and social sciences but like literally the confessions of someone IRL and online revealing their experiences in terms of homophobia, transphobia, racism,internalized self hatred, (sexism not so much imo anymore) of any kind are negated, silenced, or invalidated via "youre sensitive, hinting that said person is weak, PSA "Im not offended" as if that negates that other person;s reality, "overreacting", "intent is what matters (which is bs, we internalize and perpetuate subconsciously)". rather than respecting people's feelings as a human beings are valid as member of X unrepresented group we become enablers to abuse and then people ask why does X group have statistic of mental illness of high rates of PTSD, suicide (AsianAm women suicide is like waay under radar btw). anxiety, depression. Because of fucks like you, yes you on this page probably IRL. educate yourself while youre still here or keep going like a mindless zombie consciously and subconsciously being a shitty human being. Everyone has said and done problematic things in their lifetime. That’s a result of the society we live in, not necessarily a reflection of their character.

What is a reflection of character is how they react to being informed of the negativity within their behavior and statements, and whether or not they choose to change their behavior.
