#6065 This new gender-inclusive housing thing has been making me fantasize about having hot unexpected sexual encounters with a female roommate similar to a really low budget porno.

#6063 Why is it that when I work with Indians in my grad program on a group project, they can write in English extremely well, yet the Chinese people struggle with basic grammar? Seriously, how the fuck did some of you get accepted into an American Graduate school with an elementary understanding of English! In the group projects with Chinese kids, 90% of the work I do is correcting grammar mistakes!
That said, respect for being able to go to another country and get a post-secondary education in a non-native language, I couldn't do that, but the contrast is frustrating and I would rather be doing real work, not spell-checking.

#6061 Usually it doesn't bother me too much, or I just don't think about it, but sometimes polyamory really gets to me and makes me feel real insecure (even though I guess that's not the point of the whole thing). I'd much rather be in a bf/gf relationship with my partner but I don't know if that will be happening anytime soon....

#6060 I want to believe I'm one of those people who genuinely want the best for other people. But I can't help but feel -dare I say- happy when I find out one of my friends' relationship is over. I've never really been in a serious relationship myself, which seems to surprise a lot of new people I meet, as well as my current friends. But deep down I know it's because I don't really have anything to offer. So it's refreshing when I see my other friends, right back at the starting line with me. Although, the down side of this is that if they can't make it, then what chance do I have? I know "I don't need a man" but I'd really like to create a more intimate and meaningful relationship in my life. It'll just never happen for me, there's no way I'd ever want to introduce someone I care about to my dysfunctional family. It's a bit ironic and sad, that I come from a wacky family which prevents me from starting one of my own. But I've put my big girl pants on and realized no human life I could bring into this world would be happy-without grandparents, without a community-not only do I have nothing to offer a spouse, I have nothing to offer a child. I know I may sound like one of those girls with issues who are super easy to spot, but I'm not, I blend right in and keep these concerns well hidden. Which is just how it's been and always will be. I know how much I suck, I don't need to be pitied and feel embarrassed by someone else who will think the same.

#6058 People are extremely disillusioned when it comes to civil/human rights and freedom of speech. Society claims that people can believe what they want and speak about it freely, yet too many individuals are shamed for their beliefs. If you disagree with someone’s beliefs, just ignore them and continue on with your own convictions.
Even though I support gay rights completely, I am not going to condemn and judge another individual just because they don’t support the movement or they are against it. Another example is the dating scene. While there is plenty of slut-shaming and man whore bashing, there is just as much animosity towards the minority of college men and women who believe in traditional values of dating and would rather not casually hookup. If you want to sleep with 20 individuals in one weekend, be my guest. If you would rather go on a date and expect the guy or girl to pay for it, you can do that do.
People should live by the phrase, “Live and Let Live.” Say and do whatever makes you happy; do this though, without shaming another individual. Even if their opinion seems extremely offensive (racist, sexist, etc), it does not mean their opinion is any less important than your own.
And if this opinion offends you, feel free to ignore it too :)
