#6250 I'm not even white and I get pissed when people say things like "oh, you're white, you haven't been oppressed at all!". Well, sure, that's true to a certain extent, but that's not the white person's fault! Plus it's not like the colored person usually saying this has faced oppression themselves... It was their ancestors that did, just like how it was the white ancestors that were oppressive, and NOT the modern day white people.

Also, It's not fair that colored people get a leg up in college admissions, etc., just because they're colored with the excuse of oppression... I've seen many rich colored people get great scholarships while equally intelligent white people get nothing, just because they're not colored. Reverse-racism much? I think the solution to this issue is giving people with poor socioeconomic backgrounds and just impoverished people in general more scholarships. This enables them to climb out of debt and be a valued member of society as a college graduate instead of being stuck in a cycle of poverty (and it also covers colored AND white people who were born into poverty through no fault of their own).

Let's move past the race issue once and for all, people.
