I’ve been seeing so many confessions on how bad people think the food service people here are. What I want to know is, where/when the hell are you people going to encounter such people? I’ve been here for two years and have never experienced anything like some of you are describing. Maybe not every worker has been super friendly, but they’ve all been quite civil and prepared my food just fine. Have you thought maybe you’re just sensitive and overthinking it? I know there are some people at the diner who can be a bit grumpy, but just try smiling more. I’ve made friends with a few, and through them, the usually grumpy ones also opened up. I don’t know about other people, but to me, it’s just really encouraging after a long day of class to get a hug from somebody who looks like an auntie or get a shoutout in the line. They all really nice people once you get to know them and they probably think we’re all spoiled brats based on a few bad apples, so just show that you see them as equal beings too :)

Serious question to Emily -- how do you keep such a positive and upbeat attitude on life? I envy you.

There was a guy in a blue onsie who was absolutely UH-dorable that i met at an SAE party... too bad I was too shit faced to function. He called me a "cute little italian girl" and I then proceeded to fall on my ass... So if you've read this and remember me (I mean, who could forget?) identify yourself!! you were so cute!

Yo yo yo I now honestly know why you guys hate the diner food. I went to bitcamp, food was served by diner and is complete shit. Even the salad is complete shit. I don't know how you guys eat the diner food all year long.

For anyone who has ever gone to the education abroad office, I know we can all agree that Nicole is sooooo damn hot. I want to study "abroad" of you know what I mean.
