#6621 Trying to fit in, adhere to social norms and not embarrass myself in public has made me miss out on a lot of things.

#6620 I feel as if I'm the only person that's going to miss Joffrey and his antics. I know he was a sadistic psychopath but that's exactly what I loved about him.

#6619 I don’t think allowing mentally retarded people in schools makes sense, it doesn’t actually help anyone and they just end up annoying people and making everyone feel awkward. I am not going as far as killing all of them but they should be kept in an institution and serve to make license plates or pick up trash or something it’s a waste of tax dollars to try to help these people.

#6617 Does anyone have any experience with taking classes at Shady Grove? I fear that by accepting, I'll be cut off from this school. I feel so isolated and don't know if I should just pick another major

#6616 I'm getting so pissed off at people judging me for coming from a wealthy family.
Yeah, I grew up in an influential household where money was never a problem. And yes, I was privileged in some ways. I went to a private school for high school, I had my own car, all of that.
But you know what did suck? I never saw my parents. Ever. They were always working, or at business conferences, or just not at home. I didn't know where they had gone. My dad missed my birthday's from the time I turned 7 until now, and I'm 19. Both my parents forgot my 17th birthday until my brother reminded them that night over the phone, when they were half a country away. And when I do see them at home? They're still working. Or they're hosting parties where all sorts of people come to mingle, and I'm either supposed to be down there with them and look damn good, or be in my room and shutting the fuck up.
When I went on a senior trip in high school, all the parents and family were supposed to write letters that we could read. Everybody got adorable and sincere letters from their parents that were pages long. I got a folded up piece of paper that said "When you come back, you need to clean your room. Love you." and that's it. When I got a major concussion that landed me in the hospital, they sent a taxi to pick me up with a get well balloon inside.
So yeah, I was privileged in that I had a superb education, I was never hurting for money, and I pretty much got what I wanted (benefits of having a nanny). But honestly, every time somebody makes a snarky comment about it, I want to yell at them and tell them that I would have much rather come from a family that may not have been nearly as well-off, but a hell of a lot more loving and involved than my family was. Because honestly, I stopped calling my parents mom and dad and started calling them by their first name by the time I was eight.

#6615 I've spent the last month thinking he rejected me, and it wasn't until now that I realized he probably thinks I rejected him. My fear of appearing needy, overeager or desperate killed our potential. I don't know what to do.

#6614 "Nothing ever good happens after 3am" is a good saying from how i met your mother, i wish i followed it... my girlfriend at the time promised me that she would see me after a party she was invited to, i didn't go one because i wasn't invited and two i was busy studying for the GRE. She promised me she wouldn't stay at the party no later then 3am and she would see me after, so i waited... 4:30 hit and she was no where to be found, so i tried calling and txting her because i was worried, but no response on either ends. I was severely sleep deprived at the time and nervous for the GRE which was the next day, but in my mind i thought it would be a good idea to go all the way to her dorm, (you need to put into perspective that i live in commons and she lives in.... lets just say denton community) to make sure she was there safe, mind you it was freezing outside and took me forever just to get into a dorm at 5 am, but i did it. (i was also singing in my mind "i would walk 500 miles", which is such a great song thank you himym) I got up to her floor which was on the top floor (i took the stairs and boy was i tired), knocked on her door a couple times, and her roommate answered, she said my girlfriend at the time wasn't there. The next day my girlfriend at the time finally answered her phone after i called her when i finished the GRE, i was worried the whole time. worried if she was kidnapped, or other things, because i have seen her drunk multiple times and she dosn't stop until she can't see or she cant walk, anyways i digress, so she answered the phone and yelled at me for trying to make sure she was safe and "calling/txting her so many times", that same day she broke up with me because of this..... that is my confession, give me your thought on it please, and i repeat nothing ever good happens after 3am just go to bed. Sorry for making it so long.
