#7144 im an out of state resident who is taking out a big lone from his parents to afford this college. i just wanted to know if anyone had any tips about getting Maryland residency besides filling out tax returns in Maryland and getting a Maryland license , because it is apparantly very difficult for students who started as out of state to get residency, and my part time job isnt throwing me 35 thousand dollars a year....any help would be greatly appreciated

#7142 Hopefully I'm not the only one who feels this way. I'm probably a minority with this. I don't drink, or really go out. Although I trust myself not to make poor decisions, I'm just the type of person who would rather watch a movie and hang out with friends and order pizza than get wasted. And also I've just seen so many people in the past two years I've been here go out weekend after weekend and make the same stupid mistakes over and over, blacking out, throwing up in the hallways, not remembering their night, being loud and bothersome in the hallways at 3 AM. I respect everyone's opinions and choices, but I just get very bothered when people around me, especially people I know / people in my building, continue to make poor choices and especially disturb others. I've probably been woken up 5+ times this semester at 3-4 AM because of noisy drunk students in the hallway. I just don't want to be that source of disturbance for others and I'm ready to be done with it. But to each his own.
