#7861 It always amazes me how so many people on campus identify themselves as 'socially liberal' when in fact their ideology is incredibly inconsistent with the theme of liberty. Being liberal is not just rallying and standing up for the civil liberties of yourself and your friends (you can do that, but so do non-social liberals...). A true liberal goes out of his or her way to stand up for the liberties of those who you fucking hate... they transcend politics because they know that if 'those people' have their liberties written off, ours can be as well. You can't have real change as long as this intolerance and inconsistency is as widespread as it is.
You can resist what I've said and justify your inconsistency because "they're assholes" but all you will ever do is create further divisions and fail to ever rise above it. If you can gain the moral high ground (which has been lost with the rhetoric on all sides), maybe you can show everyone that more liberty never hurt anyone... but at this point in my life I'm not sure most of our 'future leaders' honestly even believe that.

#7860 I'm an engineer and I'm about to lose my scholarship which asks me to have a 3.2. Its amazing what one C can do to your GPA. Anyways, I really love it here and this scholarship is the only thing that lets me afford this school. What options do I have? I know I can keep my GPA above a 3 but a 3.2 is asking a lot.

#7859 I am so ready to be done with college. I won't miss it at all.
Most of my college experience has been one piece of drama or another. (To put it in perspective: the doctor who performed a psychological screening for me sophomore year could not tell if my depression was situational or biological because there hasn't been a time in my life, let alone in college, when I haven't had a major stressor going on to evaluate my mood.) Whether it was stress in courses, my job, or my personal life, I have rarely been able to truly enjoy my college years. And it is because of this that I cannot form fond associations with college.
I don't want to walk. I don't want to celebrate. I just want these last 4 years to disappear. Not the great people I've met, but most of the memories. I don't cry at the thought of leaving this "wonderful" place and time behind; I cry at the relief of being able to escape a time in my life that has consistently beaten me down. Sure I survived the beating, and life isn't fair anyway, but I'm ready to walk away from this now.

#7857 How do guys feel about a girl approaching them?? Serious question. Is it okay? And if so how does one go about it. I just don't wanna get my confidence up and the guy just ignores me.

#7855 I'm in love with someone but I can't tell my parents nor my friends. It sucks, but I know that they'll judge me negatively if I ever tell them, because...I've never met him in person. But I know, in my heart, I love him and vice versa. I'm optimistic things will work out someday; I just hope my parents will understand.
