#8046 Hello~! This isn’t really a confession, but more of something I wanted to pass on/share anonymously so I don’t come off as some twat seeking recognition and laudation from people who actually know me in my life. This is a bit lengthy, sorry!
Please don’t let the homeless or needy become invisible to you.
Now I know a lot of people out there will argue that if you give money to the homeless, they’ll only use it to buy booze or drugs instead of food, and yes, it may be true that there may be some individuals like that out there, but there are also people who genuinely need money for food or shelter, and I’d rather take the chance that I’m helping out somebody who needs to eat. One or two dollars. If it’s for drugs, well, do let me know when you find a dealer selling drugs for two bucks. The Wal-Mart of drug dealers. I’m not going to feel guilty if that money went to drugs because it’d take many more donors before the person has enough to buy another fix. If it’s for food, then I’m happy knowing that person could buy a hamburger or whatever and will live to see another day. That’s how I look at it, and maybe I’m a gullible, helplessly idealistic idiot that’s getting played, but honestly, I think we all need to look out for each other. This world is shit if you don’t have money. My outlook isn’t going to change even if a few people trick me.
I would like to believe that many of you are very lovely people who would ungrudgingly give a dollar or two to homeless people you see. Take it further~ Talk to these people! Even just a few words can mean so so much because it tells these people you’re /seeing/ and /acknowledging/ them as equal individuals. Saturday, I ran into this guy who does fantastic coloured pencil and pastel drawings as a way to earn money in between searching for jobs. I met him in March and talked with him, and he remembered me. Behind the scruff, he’s one of the kindest and more sincere people I’ve ever met. Sunday, there was a woman who looked fucking exhausted, and it was a bit hot, so I asked her if she was doing alright and if I could get her anything. Surprise surprise, she didn’t ask for more money or anything huge. She just wanted a bit of food and water (got it) and to talk a bit.
I’m not telling you these stories so you’ll go “Yeah, you’re fucking great, OP, just dandy, here’s your damn kudos” but so you can SEE what happens when regular, normally shy little girls like me just take a moment to stop and talk with people. I could go on, but you get it. Yeah, some people might not respond well (got a story for that one, too) but there will be so many more who will just light up that somebody’s treating them not like they’re some pariah but actually a fucking member of society. If starting a conversation seems scary at first, start small. Say something like “Hey, good luck, man”. It really means a lot.

#8044 To anyone that knows how to work out, can I get ripped/cut/good looking without a structured workout? I just go to the gym everyday and run on the treadmill for like 15 mins and then lift randomly

#8043 I've now held this belief now for over 10 years and still do, and I feel like I will always do. The belief came about as a product of my depression, feeling of dejection, loneliness, and suicidal thoughts. Suicide I admit, is not an option only because of two reasons: first is because of my religion, second is because of the immense, overwhelming sorrow and sadness that it will cause my loved ones, especially my mom. The belief is that, I will, without hesitation choose to have never existed if I had the choice. I consider this to be the greatest gift because it means I would have never experienced any experiences: pleasure, enjoyments, sufferings, sadness, financial worriness, depression, pressure, e.t.c. And since I never existed, I wouldn't feel bad or ba able to feel bad for missing out on anything. Furthermore, since I never existed I wouldn't be missed by anyone and I wouldn't cause sorrow for any potential loved ones because I never existed. Please, I don't want the typical uplifting comments, I just want to know if other people share similar beliefs as this or if there's something wrong with me for having such a belief

#8042 Is there anyone out there that loves rnb, rap, and hiphop, but is a total study nerd and cannot stand being disturbed while doing school work? I need to know that there are other people like me. Holla

#8041 Throughout my past, I have had friends from all walks of life and from a colorful array of cultures. As I entered college, I have found myself almost "locked" into a group of friends that are all the same culture as myself. I say "locked" because recently, I have really been feeling stifled by the sameness that I am surrounded by. Now don't get me wrong, I love my friends, but sometimes I feel like I really don't fit in with them (they don't know this). Although we share the same culture and therefore many of the same values and beliefs, I am really different from them because I have assimilated myself with the cultures of my childhood friends. For that reason, I don't really know how to act with them, because they can be really judgmental at times. I guess what I'm really trying to say is that I have seen a lot more than my sheltered friends have seen, and this has made me become a very open, non-judgmental, and understanding person. Yet my friends do not have this same world-view as me. Therefore, it really bothers me when they pass judgement on other people without even knowing them. I don't know what to do. I want to find new friends, but that is much easier said than done. I just don't want to spend my college life hiding the person I really am in order to "fit in" with a group of friends that I don't really fit in with.

#8040 So I recently started fooling around with one of my close guy friends and he kissed me. I'm nervous that I am a bad kisser because I don't have a whole lot of experience. Would it be weird if I asked him if I am a bad kisser or would that freak him out?
