#7304 I confess that biggest pet peeve is when waiters/waitresses complain about their job on Facebook. Their biggest complaint? Tips. If you're getting shitty tips, you're probably a shitty server. A tip is also known as a gratuity. Ever look up the definition of a gratuity? You won't like it. I'm not required to tip you, but I will if I feel that you did your job well. Oh, your tips are your only income? Not my problem. You chose your job, not me. Go work at McDonald's if you're not happy with your pay. Oh, but that job's not cool enough for you? My bad. Sorry that your ego rests on your cool restaurant/bar job. And MY wallet.

Cake - if a server gets shitty tips, it's not necessarily because the service was shitty. It could have been many other factors. Maybe they were displeased with the food. Maybe the check was higher than anticipated and they didn't want to spend more than planned. Maybe they're just straight up cheap asses. If your server does an exceptional job, they deserve that 18% gratuity or more. If you can afford to go out and eat at a restaurant and your server was good, you can damn well afford to tip them properly. However, if your server wasn't all that great it doesn't mean it's okay to completely jip them. It's still fucked up. If you don't understand that, it's probably because you've never been a server before. If you have an issue with tipping, YOU are the one that belongs in McDonalds. You don't need to worry about tipping there.
