However, whenever there's anyone who says anything along the lines of "Donald Trump isn't so bad", "Trump isn't as dumb as he seems", etc. No matter how much we had in common, or how much I got along with that person, I have to dismiss that person entirely because of this misalignment of values.

I don't want to be judging people based on their political beliefs, but here I am. I have turned away from so many people whom I used to consider as friends, unsubscribed from youTubers who I used to consider as absolute role models, think negatively of so many for expressing their political views, even though I am aware that that is only a subset of who they are.

I wasn't like this before, or I never noticed that till this year, when things seem to be really getting out of hand with politics.
I feel somewhat bad of not being able to accept people of what they believe in, but, at least to me, protecting or standing by Donald Trump is absolutely blasphemous.

#24078 While I cannot deny that racism plays a factor in police killings or african americans or latinos that are not warranted, I believe that the main factor is inexperience or inadequate training. The U.S. police have very lax qualifications in the hiring process of police officers and do not train them well or long enough. These officers get scared in situations that are not life threatening and shoot the suspects to play it safe. If they were more trained, they would stay more calm in situations and be able to figure out non lethal ways to handle the situations. In other countries, the police force are more respected and more trained than the American police. I believe that a reform needs to be made in the U.S. regarding the police training and who they hire to protect the people in this country.
