#27313 I have a fantastic job where I'm successful and I absolutely love it. However, I want nothing more than to be a wife and Stay at home mom. I feel like everything I do-be it the companies I work for, the clubs I join-are motivated by my strong desire to find love. And I think that's a problem.

#27312 I dont fear death, I fear the transition, the act of dying. I am terrified that when it occurs, that it will likely be extremely painful and that I will be alone. I have a far higher risk for this due to my medical issues and that also makes its incredibly difficult to allow myself to get close to others because my dying would hurt whoever I was close to. Its a giant contradiction because I dont want to be alone when I die but I dont want to be close to anyone so my death doesnt hurt them... I wish I was in good health...

#27311 I wish I could get more people into fountain pens. Occasionally someone will see me using one and ask to try it out. I feel like an asshole for then giving them one of my cheaper ones but I dont want my good ones to be damaged by someone who doesnt know to write with it or how much pressure to use. Really wish we had a fountain pen club... I usually write with my Visconti Homo Sapiens, I treat them like I would a rare car, of course I am going to use it, why would I just let it sit if I spent so much on it?

#27310 To the confessor of 27302 I'd like to add that friendships and the meaning of it is different in America. I've lived in 7 countries across 6 different continents and I can see your point. People here seem to smile and be welcoming on the first interaction but they don't really want to build a deeper relationship with you at that interaction. It takes a lot more time. Even the people who you meet thru the clubs and other social activities will be like coworker to you in your sense but in their sense you're a friend. So it's the mindset that's also there. And unlike many of the international countries that I've lived in you need to make time here to hang out / chill. It doesn't happen spontaneously. You probably need to be like hey let's grill this Friday. And you'd need to say that Tuesday. Because here most people go by a plan and they stick to plans. So if you were to suggest something that would disrupt it, you'd be seeing that cold message " maybe next time". So yeah in short it's a different culture that you're in and just like anything else with cultural differences even friendships are very different and you'll need to adapt

#27309 Does anyone know the name of the really hot Asian girl at the gym? She's got brown and blonde hair, smiles a lot, and is usually surrounded by a bunch of other gym friends. She's an absolute bombshell...
