#28788 To all these gun-regulation posts, I was raised conservative, but at what point does a person's right to bear arms infringe upon others' rights to life, liberty and happiness? When someone kills 50+ at a concert, and 25+ people in a church, we need change. The Las Vegas gunman purchased his weapons, and his modifications, legally. The Texas shooter got his weapon "legally" because the Air Force forgot to add his domestic violence charges to his record. I'm not saying we should ban all guns, but why not set some more barriers on assault weapons until we get a hold on this epidemic? Yes, people who are deadset on committing murder will find a way, but that's no excuse, if regulations like extended waiting periods, and licenses for ALL gun sales (including gun shows) were enacted, along with background checks, it would be much more difficult for these acts to occur, and it help bolster the national databases because there would be records for the attempted purchases. Having more armed people to stop the criminals won't solve any problems, it's a band-aid fix, it won't change the root problem. With the amount of people who have died in these mass shootings how can this nation not accomplish ANYTHING to atleast make it more difficult for criminals to do these sorts of things?

#28785 Looking at recent years data, around 140,000 people die in road accidents per year in my country. For USA that number is around 35,000. We have 105,000 more deaths just because of road accidents. I can include other statistics as well and I am pretty sure this difference will increase. Control on guns or not, USA is still relatively safer for me. This might be irrelevant to people who are setting higher standards for USA, but for people coming from such countries like mine and who are thinking it is getting unsafe here, I would say “chill down”.

#28781 Hi, I am what you would (probably) call a lib-tard. So here's the weird, shocking thing is that, we agree with you. Guns, do not kill people. You are very right. But, like you said, people kill people. So what we are advocating for is a way to stop the people who might commit those obscene acts from getting the tool to fulfill them. It seems like you agree with this, and as far as I'm aware, this is what the Democratic party stands for. So it looks like we have reached an agreement, no?
This is the thing. The parties want us to hate. The parties want you to call me a lib-tard. Because the more we hate, the further we diverge as one race: the human race.
