#6850 Purdue is my home. I've never felt anything other than safe here and I will not let today's events take that away from me. This is a campus full of love and we truly are a Boilermaker family. I am so proud to be a Boilermaker because we are strong. This is our house. No one is going to make us feel unsafe in our house.

#6865 You know one of the things that gets me the most about this(and I say this with the utmost respect for the family and affected...my thoughts and prayers are with them)? No one tried to contact me to see if I was ok. Before we knew who it was, it could have been anyone you know? I mean of course there is family, but it was only my cousin and I told my mom before she had the chance to find out. I felt like no one cared that was amazing, because if that happened to anyone I knew I would have instantly checked on them. I know it's not about me and disrespect is nowhere on my mind. #6863 Today’s shootout reminds me of a quote: “Dance like no one is watching, fight like you’ve never lost, love like you’ve never been hurt, and live like there’s no tomorrow.”
I always take things for granted but I’ve never realized death is that close.
This evening I was thinking how people would remember me when I die. The guy who took 20 shots of vodka and still able to walk a straight line? Or the dude that scored 5 chicks over 2 night? Possibly not. People take detour in life out of many reasons. I am not here to judge but maybe it’s time to get back to the right path.

True love is not easy to find but follow your heart and tell the guy/girl how you feel. It might not succeed the first or second time; but don’t give up in hope, amazing things will happen. Look for hobbies and connect with people. I am pretty sure there are lots of fun things out there other than drinking and being spoiled.
I know I’ve been speaking too much. Life is not easy but we should be thankful that we are still alive.
