I can't imagine what the students who were in the lab felt and what final thoughts went through Andrews mind. Andrew I miss you. I remember when I first saw you and I almost tripped as I was going up the stairs. And you gave me that smile.. You are still one of us, a Boilermaker. RIP

#6877 I wish people would cool down on the shooting incident. We know next to nothing in terms of details as to why this happened. No, Boldt didn't deserve to die the way he did, but hundreds of kids are on here saying they read his reddit page, facebook, etc. and are now acting like they knew the kid. Loss of life is always tragic, but we just don't know the details yet. I just feel that respect needs to be paid to the situation in general, and not as an excuse to bond.

#6873 To those giving their professors the business for not responding to the shooting situation properly, chill out. The pressure on the professors was probably ten times worse - they had to maintain a calm class setting while ensuring safety. While I can not ignore that some of the responses were ignorant, these professors are also human, and also respond to situations in a variety of ways, whether this be humor or tears. Just because someone cannot gauge a high stakes situation to your personal liking does not make it a fault, it makes its your preference. Give them a chance, guys, just because they are a professor does not mean they aren't human.

#6876 Just because I'm single doesn't mean that I should be dubbed as a nice guy. Maybe I don't want to date somebody stuck-up which, no offense, pretty much describes most of the girls in this campus and college in general.

#6872 One thing to point out before we finally move on. The university should definitely punish those professors who didn't take the emergency yesterday seriously. I was in my accounting class when we started getting alerts, but the professor just totally ignored all of them and students who told her about the shooting. She even got a little mad when people started to leave or call their parents, since she has not finished her boring nonsense lecture. She held students in the classroom when the shooter was still at large :(

I believe most people have watched the video that Prof. Blanchard immediately responded to the alert and handled the situation. Prof. Trax, Kelly is popular for some reason, we all know that.

#6870 In the wake of the shooting yesterday, I was scared and felt I could never regain my faith in humanity as a whole and in the state of our society. But then, last night, too many Boilermakers to count gathered to pay their respects to a man they had never met, but to a man that felt like family nonetheless because he was also a Boiler. It's made me realize that, while there may be tragedy in our world, there is also beauty and faith and courage. Purdue has risen above what happened, Purdue is not letting it make the world dark, Purdue has made Andrew a symbol of hope and humanity. I have never been more proud to be a Boilermaker. We are Purdue, we are one, we are strong, and Andrew will never be forgotten and will always have the love of all the Boilermakers here at the time.

#6869 Jesus, I'm loosing my mind. Until yesterday I knew this girl was the one, and I thought she thought the same about me. I had to call my jeweler this morning and tell him to stop looking for the diamond I wanted. Doin my best to not think about it but damn I don't want to live without her.
