#29729 My parents are always on about how they just want the best for me, but as soon as I could start making decisions on what I wanted to do, I'm immediately guilt tripped about how much money they have spent on my education. Sure becoming a racing driver is probably far fetched at this point, but I would have rather graduated with anything other than an engineering degree. They saw each of my interests and turned their noses up at them. For example after racing I grew in interest of filming, I used to film short videos with my friends every weekend while in highschool. Instead of saying something along the lines of, maybe try joining a film club, try and grow in that aspect, or something supportive they snuffed it out. Saying its useless goofing around like that, and it won't get anywhere, why won't you focus on your studies. I fucking have as much as I can, and look where its gotten me! One of the best engineering universities in the world, and I hate it! I hate what I've learned, and I hate what I'll have to do because of it. I was a fucking kid before, bright eyed and shit, I was malleable, my say didn't matter and I new it. The constant guilt tripping made it impossible to do something I liked, and before I knew it I was trapped. I do just well enough to stay in the major I'm in not enough to fail out or well enough to change into something else, because I hate it and I'm good ish at it. My plan became to earn money and figure out what I want to do outside of college, but to really earn money in my field I have to work for at least five years! Why is everything designed to keep me attached to this shit! It's like everything is designed to keep you in the same field, why is it all like this? How can I get out? I thought graduating would make things easier, but everything is as foggy and new as when I started! And I'm still unsure of what I want to do, I don't know if I'll ever find something I can really dig into, or if I'll ever afford to make the change one day.

#29724 I am a little worried. I have not felt that strange but good sensation of butterflies in the stomach on seeing a pretty girl for a long time. Does it mean I don't have a crush on anyone now? How to get that feeling back? I exercise, work, eat good and I don't think I am doing anything wrong. Why is this happening?

#29722 I would like to pursue a creative career like illustration, and I am artistically talented enough to make it, but at the same time that would mean no vacations to Europe, ski trips or one day having my own small plane. So I'm pursuing a STEM degree, that I also love

#29744 I love reading comments about political posts on Facebook. You can read about how a girl hates the new tax reform bill because she works 3 jobs to pay off her student loans and her taxes will increase. You can also see that this same girl majored in photography and spent 100,000+ on tuition. Not saying the bill is good or bad but that is a shit reason to be against it.
