Some feminists may choose to focus on more local and "first world" gender inequality problems that you may interpret as giving privileged women a reason to complain, but regardless of your interpretation, these inequalities do exist. No matter how insignificant they may seem to you, gender inequality may make a world of difference to others. So please stop bashing feminism. Feminism stands for human rights and to deny that it is a social good is a social injustice. There are countries in this world where women cannot leave there homes without men. Where women have little to no say in their family life. Where women aren't allowed to vote. In the United States, gender inequality against women and men is everywhere. Some people choose to focus their feminist energy on pointing out how sexualized women are, but what about our culture's attitude towards women? People don't ask how a man can be a good dad and CEO. People don't make men jokes. People don't question whether or not men are emotionally stable when they have one outburst in the political sphere. And people sure as hell don't tell men that their biological inclinations towards parenthood are reason enough not to be paid equally. Regardless of what the exact pay gap is, THERE IS A PAY GAP. Regardless of whether you are a man or woman, I can bet you've experienced some form of gender inequality. And those who fear feminism because of the "feminist" connotation, act like a true feminist and you'll change the stigma.
